Safety Recall Notice
ALEX Brands has issued a safety recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada. ALEX Jr.–branded First Pops (model 1981P) and Baby Builder (model 1982) sets contain a nib end on dual-lobed pieces which can separate, posing a choking hazard. Additionally, pre–November 2010 First Snaps (model 1981S) and pre–November 2010 Baby Builders contain a star connector piece with bulbous ends which can separate, posing a choking hazard. All First Pops and Baby Builder sets, and pre–November 2010 First Snaps sets, are being recalled. If you have a First Snaps set, to find out if your unit is affected by this recall, please visit the “Safety Recall FAQs” page. ALEX has received 19 reports of star connector separations associated with the pre–November 2010 First Snaps and Baby Builder sets, and 3 reports of nib separations associated with the First Pops and Baby Builder sets, but has not received any reports of injury.
