Pom poms are not just for winter hats anymore! Learn how to create adorable pom pom pumpkins using the easy to use Pom Tassler from Alex DIY!
- Pom Pom Tassler
- Green Yarn
- Orange Yarn
Insert the pegs and the yarn clip into the Pom Tassler, choosing whichever size you want. Place the end of the yarn through the yarn clip and loosely tie around the pegs, which should be facing outward. Press the handle to watch your yarn spin.
Tie off with green yarn.
Tie a second piece of green yarn onto the top to create extra loops of yarn to make the stem thicker. Tie a knot to keep them secure.
Braid stem to make the stem stand up.
Cut the loops on both sides of the knot to remove from the Pom Tassler. Flatten the pom pom and place the template over the shape to trim the orange yarn pieces to create the pom pom. Be careful not to cut the green stem!
Here you see the shape trimmed but still flattened from being in the template step.
Fluff the orange yarn to form the pom pom shape. Use scissors to trim any excess green stem shape on top.
You now have an adorable pom pom pumpkin shape! Create different sized pom poms by moving the pegs and using the coordinating template size.
