At Alex Brands, we want every child to experience the magic of play. Through our corporate contribution program, Alex Brands Cares, we have created meaningful partnerships that allow us to brighten children’s days through play and to give back to communities nationwide. With employee volunteer programs and corporate charitable toy donations, Alex Brands is making a difference in local communities and making play possible for all. Our current partnerships include:
The Toys for Tots Foundation is a not for profit organization authorized by the U.S. Marine Corps to provide fundraising and other necessary support for their annual toy drive. Toys for Tots provides happiness and a message of hope to less fortunate children, through the gift of a new toy or book during the Christmas holiday season. For more than a decade, Toys for Tots has helped to spread the joy of play to children on a national scale during this festive time.
The Toy Industry Foundation works year-round to provide the opportunity to dream, laugh, and learn to children around the world. Through the Foundation’s signature program, The Toy Bank, charities serving children receive new toys from generous manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and licensors who want to make a difference. Since the program began in 2003, over 18 million toys have been distributed to children at risk and in need around the world!
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s mission is to fight hunger and poverty statewide by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. They engage, educate, and empower all sectors of society in the battle and fill the emptiness caused by hunger with FOOD, HELP, and HOPE. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey distributed more than 44.6 million pounds of food in the past year, the most in its history. With more than 1,000 partner charities including food pantries, soup kitchens, and child and senior feeding programs, more than 4.7 million times a year, someone in need is fed.
September was Hunger Action Month, and the Alex Brands employees in NJ collected over 300 pounds of food for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. See photos here
